Terrorists Attack Court in Iran
A violent attack occurred at the local court building in the city of Zahedan, located in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. Several assailants stormed the building and directly approached the judges' offices.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers opened fire inside the building. As a result of the assault, court staff and military personnel were killed and injured. The exact number of casualties has not yet been disclosed.
The identity of the attackers and their motives remain unknown at this time. Sistan and Baluchestan province, predominantly Sunni Baluch, has been a major center of protests against the government, characterized by frequent demonstrations and clashes with regime security forces.
