Fire in Yerevan: Residents Evacuated
On July 1, at 3:44 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a fire that broke out on Zakaria Kanakertsi Street in Yerevan. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service.
Two firefighting units from the Yerevan City Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene. A fire complexity level of “1 BIS” was declared, leading to the dispatch of four more firefighting units, one aerial ladder, and operational teams from the National Crisis Management Center, the Fire and Rescue Operations Organization Department, and the Medical Support Department.
For safety reasons, firefighters evacuated approximately 50 residents from the building. The fire was contained at 5:08 PM and extinguished by 5:40 PM. The wooden structural components (about 200 square meters) and household items on the roof of the three-story building were burned. Firefighters managed to prevent the spread of the fire to other parts of the building.
