Draft Law on Administrative Penalties for Not Paying Fare Passed in First Reading
The National Assembly has passed in the first reading a draft law amending the Code of Administrative Offenses. The vote was in favor by 62 members, while 27 were against.
It is worth noting that this draft law proposes administrative penalties for not paying fares when using public transport in Yerevan. The suggested fines are as follows:
- 3,000 AMD for not validating a ticket or card after boarding the transport.
- 10,000 AMD for not paying for use.
- 15,000 AMD for using a benefit intended for another person while paying.
