Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Demands Explanation from Russia
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has demanded an explanation from Russia regarding the police operation carried out on the morning of June 27 in Yekaterinburg, which resulted in the death of Azerbaijanis, with some sustaining serious injuries and nine individuals arrested.
In a statement, the ministry expressed deep concern, stating, “We expect an immediate investigation by the Russian side and the prompt accountability of those responsible for this unacceptable act of violence.”
It is important to note that the arrests in Yekaterinburg involved Azerbaijanis and were linked to an ongoing criminal investigation into a murder case from 2001.
