Abbas Araqchi Issues Statement
Iran will not allow the actions of Israel and the United States to harm its relations with neighboring countries, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated during a phone call with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
"Abbas Araqchi, addressing the crimes committed against Iran by the Zionist regime and the US, emphasized that Iran will continue to maintain ties with all countries in the region and will not allow the actions of those countries to deteriorate its relationships with neighbors," noted the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s press service.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry also reported that Araqchi highly appreciated Qatar's position, as official Doha had condemned the actions of Israel and the US against Iran, as well as its efforts aimed at preventing further escalation of the situation in the region.
It should be noted that late yesterday evening, Iran had launched missile strikes against a US military base located in Qatar in response to US actions directed against it. The civilian population in Qatar was not affected by Iran's strikes; the target was the American military center.
