Israel Expels Activists from Seized Ship
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Greta Thunberg and other activists from the Madleen ship, which was carrying humanitarian aid and had been detained by Israeli forces the day before while en route to the Gaza Strip, have arrived at the airport for expulsion purposes.
"The passengers have arrived at Ben Gurion Airport to leave Israel and return to their countries," the statement said. It was noted that the activists are expected to depart the country within the coming hours.
"Those who refuse to sign the expulsion documents and leave Israel will face court proceedings in accordance with Israeli legislation," the Ministry added.
It should be recalled that Israel had seized the charitable ship that attempted to breach the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.
