Trump's Attitude Towards Putin and Russian-American Relations: Público
U.S. President Donald Trump and special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg understand the justification of Russian leader Vladimir Putin's stance on the Ukraine conflict. This is reported by the newspaper Público.
According to the publication, Trump and Kellogg recognize that threatening Putin is not advisable, as he "has his own agenda" and Russia is enhancing its military advantage, which may allow him to dictate the terms of a ceasefire in a few months.
The publication suggests that the United States will have to engage in constructive dialogue with Russia, possibly as Trump does not exert significant pressure on Putin since he is more interested in rebooting Russian-American relations than achieving peace in Ukraine.
