59% of EU Citizens Support Purchasing and Supplying Weapons to Ukraine
According to a Eurobarometer survey, 80% of European respondents agree with accepting war refugees in the EU, while more than three-quarters of Europeans (76%) support providing financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
72% of EU citizens are in favor of economic sanctions against the Russian government, companies, and individuals, while six out of ten (60%) support granting Ukraine candidate status for EU membership. Additionally, 59% agree that the EU should fund the purchase and supply of military equipment to Ukraine.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine continues to be regarded as the most important issue at the EU level (27%) among 15 questions, followed by the international situation (24%) and security and defense (20%). 77% of European respondents agree that Russia's invasion of Ukraine poses a threat to EU security.
In a recent poll, nearly 60% of Americans believe that Donald Trump is not tough enough on Putin. The overwhelming majority of Americans, including both Democratic and Republican voters, think that the Trump administration should continue military support for Ukraine.
