9 Officials Under Investigation in Corruption Cases, Anti-Corruption Committee Reports
Nine current officials from the Yerevan City Hall and administrative districts are currently involved in corruption cases and hold the status of defendants. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Committee in response to a query from 'Pastinfo.'
According to the data provided by the agency, during 2025, the number of city hall, community, and administrative district officials involved as defendants in ongoing criminal proceedings amounts to seven, comprising three officials from the administrative districts and four from the community administrations. The information provided by the Anti-Corruption Committee does not yet include officials from the City Hall who were arrested on May 20th, therefore, currently there are nine officials holding the status of defendants.
Regarding cases sent to court, the total number of defendants in criminal proceedings sent to court with an accusatory conclusion is 25, which includes five officials from the city hall, ten from the administrative districts, and ten from the community administrations.
