Armenia to Allow Visa-Free Entry for Citizens of Certain Countries
The Republic of Armenia is eliminating the visa requirement for citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as foreigners with residence status in the United States, European Union countries, Schengen Area countries, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, or the Sultanate of Oman.
“The necessity for this change is justified by economic considerations. It is evident that with these amendments we will facilitate people's visits to our country and also increase investment attractiveness,” announced Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a government session.
Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan also stated that they expect a significant increase in tourism flows following the adoption of this project. “The business environment also welcomes this,” he noted.
