US Accepts Boeing 747 Gift from Qatar to Trump
The US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hagquist, has accepted a gift from Qatar for President Donald Trump—a Boeing 747 aircraft that will be used in the capacity of Air Force One, according to a report from the Associated Press citing the Pentagon.
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell stated that the Defense Department will "work to ensure that proper security measures are in place for the aircraft to make it safe for the US President." He added that the aircraft was accepted "in accordance with all federal rules and regulations."
It is noteworthy that news about the 'flying palace' that Qatar decided to gift the US President came to light even before Donald Trump's trip to the Middle East.
