China Successfully Launches Experimental Satellite
China has successfully launched the "Shiyan-19" experimental satellite into Earth orbit, which will be used for testing satellite communication technologies. This information was reported on the website of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
The launch occurred on May 13 at 02:09 via a Long March 3C rocket from the Sichuan launch site, located in southwestern China's Sichuan province. CASC highlighted that the satellite will be utilized for testing multi-layer satellite high-speed communication technologies.
Prior to this, it was announced that the Chinese company Galactic Energy plans to present the world's first electromagnetic system for launching rockets into space in 2028. It was noted that the device will operate using ultra-conductive magnets, allowing the carrier to reach hypersonic speeds even before the engine is activated. The system, as reported, will not produce noise and will also enable savings on rocket fuel.
