Pezeshkian Proposes to Mediate Between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Tehran welcomes the agreement on the text of the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan. This was announced by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh during an event organized at the Center for Analysis of International Relations in Baku, according to Azerbaijani media.
Khatibzadeh stated that Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian could serve as a mediator in the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. “I think this issue will also be reflected in the daily communications between the two countries,” he added.
