We Wouldn't Want to See That: Rubio
The United States will not expand sanctions against Russia in order to avoid hindering the peaceful process in the Ukraine conflict. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to NBC.
“I think we still hope to see those diplomatic efforts take effect, and we can bring these two sides together. I mean, the moment you start doing things like imposing sanctions, you move away from peace, and you condemn yourself to another two years of war. We wouldn’t want to see that,” Rubio told NBC in response to a question about why he has not yet imposed sanctions against Russia.
