Trump: I Prefer a Deal Over Dropping Bombs
US President Donald Trump believes that a deal can be reached with Iran regarding its nuclear program. He stated this during an interview with Time magazine.
He also denied media reports that he had prevented an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. “No, that’s not true, I didn’t stop them. But I made it such that it wouldn’t be convenient for them, because I think we can make a deal without attacking. I hope we can. It’s possible that we might have to attack because Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. But I didn’t create convenience for Israel. Ultimately, I was going to leave that choice to them, but I said I would rather have a deal than drop bombs,” Trump elaborated.
The US president also added that he is not worried that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might drag him into war.
