We Will Not Allow That: Trump
The United States will not allow the radical Palestinian Hamas movement to participate in the governance of the Gaza Strip in the future. This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump while responding to reporters' questions at the White House.
He was asked whether the U.S. would prevent Hamas from playing any role in the post-war governance of Gaza. "We will not allow Hamas to do that," Trump said. "And we will see what happens with Gaza, but we have made great progress in the Middle East," he emphasized.
"The events of that particular day (October 7, 2023) should never have happened," the U.S. President continued. "It would never have happened if I were president. But we will stop that situation," he concluded.
