Deadline for Declarations Extended
Today, in the National Assembly, Deputy Chair of the Economic Affairs Standing Committee and MP from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction Babken Tunyan announced that approximately 35,000 citizens have submitted their declarations so far. He noted, 'This is a very small percentage of those obligated to declare.'
Tunyan mentioned that there are both objective and subjective reasons for this figure. According to him, a significant portion has not filled out their declarations due to delays in the process of obtaining identification cards. Some have been aware for several months that the deadline for declaration has been extended to November 1. The third reason is that certain opposition circles have demonized the declaration system, leading to the need for considerable efforts to engage with citizens.
