Trump Gives Putin a Deadline
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he has given Russian leader Vladimir Putin a "deadline" to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine.
"I have set a deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war," Trump stated. He did not provide details regarding the deadline.
Previously, Trump had mentioned establishing a "psychological deadline," a timeframe within which Russia and Ukraine should reach an agreement on a ceasefire. He did not specify an exact date, noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin "wants to make a deal," while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is hesitant about a deal concerning minerals.
The White House leader added that despite the animosity between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents, they must overcome their differences for the sake of peace.
