US Cancels Funding for Foreign Aid Projects in Armenia
The US State Department has canceled funding for foreign aid projects totaling $215 million in various countries, including Armenia. This was reported by the US Department of Organizational Effectiveness (DOGE).
“US Secretary of State Marco Rubio continues to review the State Department's foreign assistance; today, funding for 139 useless grants amounting to $215 million has been canceled,” it was stated on DOGE's X page.
The funding for foreign aid projects has also been halted in Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Mauritania, Moldova, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Sri Lanka.
