Details on the Train and Passenger Car Collision: Ministry of Internal Affairs
The South Caucasus Railway Company has provided details regarding the circumstances of the collision between a train and a passenger car, announcing that, unfortunately, there are casualties.
On March 5 at around 19:30, a suburban electric train operating on the Yerevan-Jeraskh route collided with a passenger car. The collision occurred at an uncontrolled crossing on the Masis-Artashat railway section due to a violation of traffic rules by the vehicle's driver. Tragically, two out of four individuals in the car lost their lives.
The South Caucasus Railway Company extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured, urging citizens once again to adhere to traffic rules at railway crossings.
Earlier reports indicated that a vehicle had collided with a train near the village of Burastan. The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ emergency service also reported that two individuals were injured.
