Car Collides with Passenger Train, Casualties Reported
On March 5, at 19:32, the National Crisis Management Center received information that a car had collided with a passenger train in the village of Burastan, Ararat Province. A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that the passenger train on the Yerevan-Yerashkh railway collided with a VAZ brand vehicle near the village of Burastan. Rescuers managed to extract two trapped victims from the vehicle.
As a result of the collision, two people died at the scene, and two others were taken to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries.
