Ukrainians Launch Fundraiser to Purchase Nuclear Weapons
Ukrainians have started a fundraising campaign to purchase nuclear weapons following the debate between U.S. President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by UNIAN.
The fundraiser was announced by Ukrainian banker Oleg Gorokhovsky. In his Telegram channel, he stated that he received numerous requests and suggestions to initiate a fundraiser for nuclear weapons. Within the first half-hour, residents of Ukraine raised over 2 million hryvnias, or about 50 thousand dollars.
It is worth noting that in February, Volodymyr Zelensky told journalist Piers Morgan that Kyiv wanted to acquire nuclear weapons as compensation for Ukraine not being accepted into NATO. In turn, Donald Trump’s Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated that Ukraine would not receive nuclear weapons.
