This is a Mechanism for Returning Citizens' Taxes: Pashinyan
Through universal declaration, we are creating an infrastructure to return 70 billion drams to citizens. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
He recalled that last year the state returned 68 billion drams to citizens in the form of income tax as part of a program for acquiring mortgage loans for housing, and now another system will be implemented, namely the universal declaration.
“We are adding another 70 billion, which we will again return to citizens, but to working citizens, for educational purposes, for healthcare purposes, because, as we have said, money is a tool of governance, and we want to implement our strategies more effectively. This also provides an opportunity for many specialists—including dentists, artisans, and experts (we referred to college lecturers as experts, didn’t we?)—to create educational and healthcare services while working and provide them to citizens, for which they will be paid. In fact, this is done with state budget funds… Again, with the taxes paid by citizens, but primarily this is a mechanism for returning citizens' taxes,” Pashinyan said.
