The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a counter-terrorism operation in the city of Tulkarm on the western bank of the Jordan River. This was reported by TASS.
The IDF's press service made a relevant announcement, stating, "Some time ago, in the framework of counter-terrorism operations in Judea and Samaria (the Israeli name for the western bank of the Jordan River), the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Border Police began a counter-terrorism operation in Tulkarm."
On January 21, the IDF's press service announced that Israeli security forces had started a large-scale counter-terrorism operation in the area of Jenin, located to the north of the Jordan River, which was named "Iron Wall."
