A Lot Remains Behind Closed Doors: Zakharova
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a candid conversation with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan that lasted nearly 3 hours. This was announced by the official representative of the ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Zakharova responded to a question about how Moscow views Yerevan's lack of desire to leave the EAEU while simultaneously intending to join the EU, stating: "The conversation between the heads of the foreign policy agencies of Russia and Armenia was sincere, but not everything was in front of the camera; a lot remains behind closed doors. The discussion lasted 3 hours, which indicates genuine discussions on urgent matters."
It is noteworthy that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met in Moscow on January 21.
