Dear People, We Haven't Been Saved and There's No Need to Look for Saviors: Mirzoyan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly, spoke about the agreement signed with the United States, stating that "we have not found any saviors with this document."
According to the Minister, following the signing of this document, there were manipulative processes that may not have been visible to the ordinary eye.
"A group of people said that we have been saved, that's it. Dear people, we haven't been saved, and there is no need to look for saviors at all. Just as it was not necessary to look for saviors in the north before, it is not necessary to look for saviors now in the north, south, east, west, or anywhere else. If we have a way to be saved, we must do it ourselves so that we can be saved, develop, and strengthen," said Mirzoyan.
He recalled that Armenia has had a strategic dialogue format with the United States for many years that has been implemented through the relevant commission. According to him, the Armenian authorities have always stated that they will elevate those relations to one level higher – strategic partnership, which is precisely what the latest agreement with the U.S. is about.
According to Mirzoyan, another group of people claims that the agreement signed with the U.S. is a military alliance, which is not the case at all. The most surprising, he noted, are the people who say that Tehran and Moscow will punish us for this.
Earlier, it was reported that Armenia and the United States signed an agreement on strategic partnership. The ceremony took place in Washington, and the document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. For more details, see the video.
