Lavrov on Relations with Armenia
Russia highly values its fraternal relations with Armenia. This was stated by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during the opening of a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
“Armenia is our natural strategic partner and ally. We are interested in strengthening and developing the multi-century traditions of friendship and neighborhood,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
He emphasized the importance of regular communications between all departments of the two countries.
Lavrov also touched upon cooperation with Armenia in various multilateral formats, and the ties in cultural, educational, and humanitarian fields. He described Armenia's achievements in the Eurasian Economic Union as “impressive.”
