Turkey Ready to Act as Mediator Between Moscow and Kyiv
Turkey is ready to mediate between Russia and Ukraine, announced Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Saturday.
During a press conference in Ankara, Fidan stated that he discussed the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov. “We support all initiatives aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace. I want to emphasize once again that both sides must participate in these initiatives. As before, we are ready to take on the role of a mediator when the appropriate conditions are created,” said Fidan.
