What if we say that having a land corridor there is in our national interests? - Solovyov
Russian broadcaster, journalist, and propagandist Vladimir Solovyov has once again addressed Armenia and the policies pursued by the Armenian government, this time influenced by a document signed with the United States.
“Trump says, ‘Panama is ours.’ Why can’t we say that we have invested so much money in Armenia that we cannot watch as the U.S. builds its base there by simply buying Pashinyan? They constantly spit in our faces, do whatever they want, and say that they don’t need us. We clean our own faces and say we have relations. But what if we said that we have our national interests in the Caucasus? Our relations with Iran are reaching a new level, but is there a land corridor there, is there a common border? What if we calmly told Georgia and Armenia that having a land corridor there is in our national interests?
This could have been realized in 2008, but they would have said to us, ‘What are you doing? You are an imperialist, a colonizer, how dare you?’ And the U.S. would look on and say, ‘Russia cannot be allowed, they are revisionists.’ In other words, Greenland is fine, Canada is fine, Panama is fine, but Russia is a revisionist. Why didn’t you say that right away?” said Solovyov.
