Mirzoyan Does Not Rule Out the Possibility of Reducing Russian Border Guards
If there is an open border with Turkey and if there is high trust between these two countries, similar to that between Armenia and Iran, then the question of reducing Russian border guards at the Armenian-Turkish border may be considered and discussed. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a meeting with journalists.
“The issue of withdrawing the Russian military base from Armenia is not on the agenda at this moment,” Ararat Mirzoyan added.
It is worth noting that during the meeting with journalists, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan also responded to the statements made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
