We await Trump to assume office, and only then will we discuss communications: Putin's aide
Russia is waiting for the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump to officially assume his office before discussing preparations for communications between the American leader and Vladimir Putin. This was stated by Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Vladimir Putin, as reported by Ria Novosti.
“We are calmly waiting for Trump’s team to take their places. When Trump enters the Oval Office, then we will see what happens,” he said.
Ushakov believes that the elected President of the United States will face numerous challenges once he takes office. These will include both international issues and domestic political matters.
