I Would Have Done It Sooner: Trump
The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced that after taking office on January 20, he plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin "very quickly." He did not specify a precise timeframe for the meeting, Reuters reports.
"And I know that he wants to meet as well, and I will meet very quickly. I would have done it sooner, but... I have to take office first," said the newly elected U.S. president.
When asked about his strategy regarding ending the Russo-Ukrainian war, Trump stated, "Well, there is only one strategy, and that needs to be decided by Putin. I can't imagine that he is overly excited about the course of the war because it's not going well for him."
