Mel Gibson's $14.5 Million Malibu Mansion Burns Down
American actor Mel Gibson's $14.5 million mansion in Malibu has burned down while he was filming an episode of Joe Rogan's podcast. The actor recalls returning home to find 'nothing' left, as destructive wildfires continue to rage in Los Angeles.
According to Gibson, the house where he had lived for nearly 15 years was completely destroyed in the blaze. 'It was emotionally devastating. I had lived there for a long time. My belongings were there, and now I have nothing left from it, as they have all turned to ash,' Gibson told News Nation.
When he returned, he saw that his home was reduced to ashes, but to his relief, he discovered that his chickens had survived the fire. Gibson and his wife provided water and food for the animals. 'We are happy that they are still laying eggs and have not turned into fried chickens,' he joked.
He mentioned that he is still unsure about what he will do next, but it is possible that he may use insurance payouts to rebuild the house. Gibson also added that his neighbors' homes have been destroyed in the fire, speculating that the house of actor Ed Harris has also been damaged by the disaster.
