It Cannot Fail to Cause Grief: Pashinyan Expresses Condolences
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed condolences regarding the crash of an Azerbaijani airplane near the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan.
“I extend my condolences to the families of the victims of the Baku-Grozny flight. The tragedy that has befallen everyday people cannot fail to cause grief,” Pashinyan wrote on social media platform X.
It is noteworthy that an Azerbaijani passenger plane crashed near Aktau, which is located in western Kazakhstan. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board. According to preliminary information, the cause of the incident was the plane's collision with a flock of birds. Reports also state that an oxygen cylinder exploded on the plane, leading to a loss of consciousness among some individuals. Witnesses indicated that a bird had entered the engine prior to this incident.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, 29 people survived the plane crash. The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan reported that among the survivors are 14 citizens of Azerbaijan, 10 from Russia, and 2 from Kyrgyzstan. The nationalities of 3 other injured individuals are being verified.
