Negotiations Between Iran and Syria

The Iranian authorities are conducting negotiations with the Syrian side in Damascus regarding the resumption of operations of the Iranian embassy and the Syrian embassy in Tehran. This was reported by the Mehr news agency.

“We are holding diplomatic consultations on reopening the embassies of the two countries,” said Fatemeh Mohajeri, the official spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

It was also noted that the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated Tehran's insistence on the “necessity of establishing a Syrian government based on the will of the people and protecting Syria’s territorial integrity.”
