Trump's Top Priority After Taking Office
The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, considers resolving the conflict in Ukraine to be his top priority. This was stated by the American leader in an interview with the French magazine Paris Match following his visit to France.
"There are many crises in the world. The priority is to resolve the Ukraine issue with Russia," Trump declared.
The U.S. president-elect added that the situation in the Middle East is also important; however, in his opinion, resolving that issue is "not as difficult as the Ukraine-Russia conflict." Trump also mentioned that he will maintain defense relations with France and will discuss Ukraine with the French leadership.
Previously, it was reported that during a meeting in Paris with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron, Trump expressed his desire to establish an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine.
