Israeli Strike Paralyzes Iran's Missile Production Capabilities, Media Reports
The American Axios portal, citing its sources, claims that the Israeli strike on Saturday has paralyzed the production of ballistic missiles in Iran.
“Israel's retaliatory strike has disrupted a key component of Iran's ballistic missile program. Israel targeted 12 'planetary mixers' used in the production of solid rocket fuel for long-range ballistic missiles, which comprise a significant part of Iran's missile arsenal,” the report states.
According to the portal's journalists, the damaged facilities are “extremely sophisticated equipment” that Iran does not manufacture domestically but allegedly orders from abroad, and their restoration could take at least a year.
At the same time, sources note that Iran still possesses impressive stockpiles of missiles. An American senior official confirms the statements of the portal's interlocutors, stating that the strike has “paralyzed” Iran's missile production capabilities.
It is worth noting that on Saturday night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they were targeting Iranian military facilities in response to attacks on the Jewish state on October 1. CBS News, citing its source, reports that Israel's attack on Iran was limited to military targets and did not extend to nuclear or oil facilities.
