Photos: Casualties and Injuries in Major Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Road
On October 9, at 14:56, the Crisis Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Service received a call reporting an accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, indicating that there are casualties and a gas leak is present, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
An operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a firefighting unit were dispatched to the scene.
It was discovered that a "GAZel" vehicle (driven by H. T.) had overturned at the 20th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway. Preliminary reports indicate that there are 8 injured and 1 deceased. Before the rescuers arrived, the injured had been transported to medical centers.
The rescuers disconnected the power supply to the vehicle and closed the gas cylinder valve.
