Mandatory Evacuation Ordered in Kursk Region
Authorities in the Kursk region have decided on a mandatory evacuation for residents living in the Rilsk and Khomutov districts, which are located within a 15-kilometer zone adjacent to the Ukrainian border. This announcement was made by Governor Alexei Smirnov via Telegram.
“Based on operational information, the regional emergency headquarters has made the decision to evacuate residents of the Rilsk and Khomutov districts, which lie within the 15-kilometer zone bordering Ukraine,” he stated.
It is worth noting that on August 6, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an offensive in the Kursk region.
