Baku Responds to EU Statements and Issues Call
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayhan Hacizade has called on the European Union not to criticize the elections in Azerbaijan.
“The subjective and biased statements made by Peter Stano regarding the elections held in Azerbaijan, which echo the negative conclusions of the OSCE/ODIHR, are unjust. The elections in Azerbaijan were conducted fully in accordance with the country's constitution and laws. We urge EU officials to recognize the futility of interfering in Azerbaijan's internal affairs and to focus on the internal issues of member states,” stated Hacizade.
