Next Week You Will See Me at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant: Grossi
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, plans to visit the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant next week. “Next week, you will see me at the Zaporizhzhia NPP,” he said in an interview with CNBC.
“We are moving forward within the IAEA framework, looking for possible formats of cooperation between both sides, as well as for the international community,” he noted regarding the upcoming visit. Grossi added that the agency conducts its work as an “independent” organization.
Recall that on August 27, Grossi was in Kurchatov to study the Kursk nuclear power plant. During the visit, he observed signs of drone strikes and remnants of drones. Later, the agency's head described the situation as serious and urged not to allow a nuclear accident to occur. According to Grossi, any attacks against a nuclear power plant are unacceptable.
