Underground Tremor in Georgia Felt in Armenia
On August 31, at 12:19 PM local time (08:19 AM GMT), the seismic network of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5, located 4 km northwest of the town of Dmanisi, Georgia, at a depth of 10 km with geographical coordinates of 41.36° N latitude and 44.19° E longitude.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicentral area was assessed at 3 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra in the Shirak province and Metsavan in the Lori province, with an intensity of 2-3 points.
