Security Forces Assault on Volgograd Penal Colony No. 19 Lasts Half an Hour, Ends with Elimination of Radicals
Russian security forces carried out an assault on the Volgograd region's Penal Colony No. 19. According to information from Russian Telegram channels, three radicals were injured by gunfire, one of them in the hand. There is an order to capture them alive to allow law enforcement to fully uncover the crime.
It is recalled that the militants who captured the Volgograd prison had demanded a hostage exchange. They released a new video where they stated that they were not asking for 2 million dollars or a helicopter. The radicals also claimed that they were "taking revenge" for the terrorists who attacked the Crocus.
Earlier, it was mentioned that the imam of the Volgograd mosque would arrive for negotiations between the radicals and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. However, the latter called for the destruction of these creatures.
It has just been revealed that the operation at Volgograd's Penal Colony No. 19, carried out by special forces, lasted half an hour and ended with the elimination of the radicals. All hostages have been released.
During the operation, Rustamchon Navruz, a 23-year-old from Tajikistan, attempted to detonate himself using a "suicide vest," but the system malfunctioned.
