Iranian President Calls on Khamenei
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has urged the country’s spiritual leader Ali Khamenei to refrain from launching a "retaliatory strike" against Israel, as it could have devastating consequences for the nation. This information was reported by Iran International.
According to the television channel, during a meeting with Iran's Supreme Leader, Pezeshkian allegedly warned that Israel's decision to promptly respond to Iran's strike in the form of attacks on national infrastructure and energy facilities could paralyze the country's economy.
The Iranian president also expressed concern that generals, with their belligerent rhetoric, might drag Iran into an unwanted war. The television channel claims that Khamenei listened to Pezeshkian's arguments without expressing his viewpoint.
