Video: After Two Months in an Orphanage, a Little Girl Reunited with Family
After spending nearly two months in an orphanage, the little girl found abandoned in the yard of the Holy Mother of God Church in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district has been reunited with her family. This information was provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the police, the "Yerevan Child Home" State Non-Commercial Organization, and several other departments, the little girl will sleep tonight not in the orphanage but in the cradle of her own home.
According to the director of the orphanage, this is a case where everyone worked towards a common goal, prioritizing the child's best interests, which led to the positive outcome we see today.
The police and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs provided humanitarian assistance to help locate the newborn's mother and facilitate their reunion. The police will keep a constant watch over the little girl and be present with her and her mother.
It is worth noting that the caretaker of the "Holy Mother of God" Church in Malatia found a five-day-old baby in the area around 7:30 PM on May 8. The newborn was then transferred to the "Holy Mother" Medical Center. The newborn was discharged from the medical center on May 15 and subsequently moved to the orphanage. The child's mother was discovered on May 14.
