Mercedes Crashes into Concrete Barriers and Catches Fire in Tavush
Today, on July 2, a car accident and subsequent fire occurred in the Tavush region. At around 19:10, the National Emergency Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a report of a vehicle burning in the village of Ptghavan.
According to Shamshyan, preliminary information suggests that a Mercedes vehicle, which had Georgian license plates, collided with the concrete barriers at the edge of the road, resulting in a fire erupting within the car. The flames and smoke were visible from several hundred meters away.
Firefighters extinguished the flames, but the vehicle was completely reduced to a pile of ashes. Currently, police and paramedics are determining the identity of the vehicle's owner and whether there are any injured parties.
Documentation regarding the incident is being processed at the Tavush regional police department.
