World War II Bomb Discovered Near Tesla Factory in Germany
German authorities plan to detonate a World War II-era bomb discovered near a Tesla factory, European media reported on Thursday.
The 250-kilogram bomb is scheduled to be detonated on Saturday, June 29, in the Grünheide community of Brandenburg federal state. The bomb was found in a forest near the factory.
Environmental activists have been protesting against the expansion of Tesla's facility in the same forest since February. It is still unclear whether their camp, consisting of several cabins, will be evacuated.
The only Tesla factory in Europe opened in Germany nearly two years ago.
