Glendale Mayor Elen Asatryan to Visit Armenia
The Mayor of Glendale, Elen Asatryan, will be in Armenia from June 11 to 20 to participate in the US-Armenia Local Democracy Conference organized by the US State Department and the National League of Cities.
According to a statement from Asatryan's office, the mayor will arrive in Yerevan on June 11. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations, explore economic opportunities, and support cultural and educational exchanges between Glendale and Armenia.
Asatryan will also visit Gyumri and may go to Kapan if time permits. During the visit, the Glendale mayor will hold meetings with local government officials, media representatives, businesspeople, and community organization representatives in Armenia.
Asatryan will also participate in discussions focused on strengthening ties between Armenia and Glendale's sister cities, as well as on democracy, sustainable development, trade, tourism, and technological cooperation.
In regard to her upcoming visit to Armenia, Elen Asatryan expressed her excitement about returning to her birthplace as the Mayor of Glendale.
