Erdogan on the Expedient Signing of a Peace Treaty Between Baku and Yerevan
Ankara welcomes the progress in the negotiations between Baku and Yerevan and expects the prompt signing of a peace treaty. This was stated in the message of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed to the participants of the Energy Week opening ceremony in Baku, read by the country's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar.
“Turkey is ready to provide any assistance to Azerbaijan regarding the implementation of this event,” the message indicates. In Erdogan's address, it was also noted that the cooperation between Ankara and Baku in the energy sector would benefit the entire region. He emphasized that the ties between the two countries are strong in all areas.
