Health Ministry Urges Residents to Avoid Contaminated Water for Drinking and Household Use
The Ministry of Health of Armenia urges residents in the disaster-affected areas to avoid infectious diseases, particularly intestinal infections, by refraining from using water for drinking and household purposes (including boiled water) if there is any change in the smell or color of the water (contamination).
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in cooperation with the regional authority's sectoral divisions, is conducting monitoring of drinking water quality and raising awareness among the population.
